Apollo vs Seamless AI: Which Prospecting Tool Is Right for You?

For most startups, agencies and small sales teams, Apollo is the better buy: published per-seat pricing, a free plan, and data, sequences, a built-in dialer and deliverability tools in one workspace. Seamless.AI is a reasonable choice if you prefer its real-time web research approach, want its invalid-email refund, and are comfortable buying through a sales-led annual contract.

How the two tools find data

The two products are built on different ideas, and that shapes everything else.

Apollo maintains a database. Its help center says data comes from a contributor network, engagement data such as replies and bounces, public web crawling and third-party providers, with monthly checks across the full database. You search that database with filters (Apollo says 65+), reveal contacts with credits, and act on them.

Seamless.AI describes itself as a real-time search engine. Its FAQ page says it uses AI and machine learning to "crawl the web and search publicly available data in real time," and its homepage says each profile has "100+ live data points per profile, updated continuously."

In theory, real-time research can surface contacts that a static database misses, especially in niche markets. In practice, both approaches have gaps. Any contact can change jobs tomorrow, and Seamless.AI's own comparison page admits "no B2B data provider is 100% accurate because business information changes constantly."

Data size and accuracy claims

Both vendors publish big numbers. Here they are, attributed and side by side.

Claim Apollo Seamless.AI
Database size 240M+ contacts and 30M+ accounts (homepage) 1.8B+ verified business emails and 414M+ phone numbers (homepage)
Accuracy "Apollo verified emails have an accuracy rate of 91%" (help center) B2B contact data is 90% accurate on average (FAQ page)
Bad-data protection Email credit refunded if a verified email bounces within 30 days "100% protection," with invalid emails refunded automatically (homepage)
Users Over 600,000 companies (homepage) "Trusted by 1M+ sales leaders worldwide" (homepage)

These figures measure different things. Apollo counts contacts in its database; Seamless.AI counts verified emails and phone numbers, and elsewhere says it has researched 2B+ leads. A larger number is not proof of better coverage for your specific market.

The honest test is simple. Run the same 100 to 200 target accounts through both tools, export the contacts, verify the emails with a third-party verifier, and check titles against LinkedIn. Both tools have free entry points, so the test costs you an afternoon.

Data verdict: too close to call from vendor claims alone. Seamless.AI's refund promise and real-time model are genuine strengths. Apollo's filter depth and verification statuses make large, targeted lists easier to build.

Pricing and contracts

Apollo

Apollo's pricing page lists Free, Basic, Professional and Custom plans, with credits pooled across the team and no rollover. The page text does not show dollar amounts, so these figures come from 2026 third-party pricing reviews:

Apollo plan Annual billing (per user/mo) Monthly billing (per user/mo)
Free $0 $0
Basic About $49 About $59 to $65
Professional About $79 About $99
Custom Talk to sales Talk to sales

Valley (October 2026) and Saleshandy (September 2026) also list an Organization plan at about $119 per user per month with a three-seat minimum. Per Apollo's help center and 2026 reviews, an email reveal costs 1 credit and a phone number costs 8.

Seamless.AI

Seamless.AI does not publish paid prices. Its FAQ page directs buyers to a pricing inquiry and a sales line, and its own Apollo comparison article says "paid pricing is not fully published upfront."

Docket, a third-party research site, described Seamless.AI's tiers in April 2026 as Free, Pro and Enterprise, with Pro and Enterprise marked "Contact sales." Docket also cited user reports of Pro at $79 to $150 per user per month, which Seamless.AI has not confirmed.

Contract terms matter here. Docket reported that cancellation requires 60 days' notice before renewal and that users report being auto-renewed for another 12 months if they miss that window. Get the renewal price and notice date in writing before you sign.

Pricing winner: Apollo. You can see the price, buy monthly, and leave without negotiating.

Outreach: sequences, calling and deliverability

Both tools now let you act on the data without leaving the platform, but the depth differs.

Apollo sequences and dialer

Apollo was built around going from search to send. You add contacts to multi-step sequences with automated emails, calls and LinkedIn tasks, then track opens, replies and meetings in one place. Apollo's dialer is native; per its help center, US calls use 1 credit per 30 seconds of connected time and unanswered calls use none.

Apollo also includes deliverability tools inside the product. Its help center describes buying domains and mailboxes in Apollo, automatic SPF, DKIM and DMARC setup for those domains, warmup, blocklist checks and inbox placement tests. Its sending guidance starts each mailbox at 50 emails a day and suggests 50 to 100 a day once warmed.

Seamless Connect

Seamless Connect is Seamless.AI's engagement module. Its help center says Connect "is included free with your Seamless account" and supports campaigns with "automated emails, manual emails, calls, SMS, LinkedIn steps, and custom tasks," though it notes SMS sending is not currently available.

A few details to know:

  • Inboxes: you can connect multiple Gmail or Outlook accounts, and the help center says there is no limit at this time.
  • Sending pace: it recommends 250 or fewer emails per day per inbox and at least 60 seconds between sends.
  • Calling: Twilio is the only way to place calls inside Connect, so you need a separate Twilio subscription.
  • Warmup: the Connect FAQ does not mention email warmup, so plan to warm mailboxes elsewhere.

Connect being included at no extra cost and allowing unlimited inbox connections are real advantages. Apollo still offers the more complete package, with a native dialer and deliverability tooling in one product.

For high-volume cold email, many teams use either tool for data and send from a dedicated platform like Smartlead or Instantly, which are built around many mailboxes, rotation and warmup. Our cold email infrastructure guide explains how to set that up safely.

Outreach winner: Apollo.

Integrations, extensions and AI

Chrome extension. Both have one. Apollo's works on LinkedIn, Gmail, Google Calendar, Salesforce, HubSpot and company websites. Seamless.AI's lets you "find cell phones, emails, direct dials, and sales insights for any B2B professional on any website."

CRM. Apollo offers two-way sync with HubSpot plus integrations with Salesforce, Pipedrive, Outreach and Salesloft, connecting one CRM at a time. Seamless.AI says it syncs with "6,000+ tools," though its own Apollo comparison chart lists 18 integrations for Seamless and 16 for Apollo, so the count depends on how you measure.

AI and automation. Apollo launched its AI Assistant in March 2026 for research, list building, sequence building and workflows. Seamless.AI offers Autopilot ("run intelligent workflows automatically"), Buyer Intent and an AI assistant for writing outreach. Both are investing heavily here, so compare the current versions in a trial.

Integrations winner: roughly even, with Apollo ahead on native CRM sync depth and Seamless.AI claiming broader connector coverage.

Head-to-head scorecard

Category Winner Why
Price transparency Apollo Published plans, monthly billing available
Contract flexibility Apollo No annual commitment required
Data approach Tie Database with filters vs real-time research; test both
Bad-data protection Tie Both refund invalid or bounced emails
Sequences Apollo Mature, native multichannel sequences
Calling Apollo Native dialer, no Twilio needed
Deliverability tools Apollo Mailboxes, warmup and placement tests in-app
Inbox connections Seamless.AI No stated limit on connected inboxes in Connect

How to run a fair side-by-side test

A one-week trial tells you more than any comparison chart. Keep it simple and keep it identical across both tools.

  1. Pick 100 target accounts that match your ideal customer profile, including a few hard-to-find niche companies.
  2. Search the same titles and seniority in Apollo and in Seamless.AI, and export every contact each tool returns.
  3. Verify every email with the same third-party verifier so neither vendor grades its own work.
  4. Spot-check 20 titles per tool on LinkedIn to see who is current and who has moved on.
  5. Calculate cost per valid, on-target contact using each tool's real price, not the list price on a slide.

Whichever tool wins on your accounts is the right one for you. Our roundup of the best email verification tools can help with step 3.

Who should choose Apollo

  • Founders and small teams who want one tool for list building, sequences and calls.
  • Agencies that add and remove seats as client work changes and want to avoid annual lock-in.
  • Teams that care about deliverability and want warmup and placement testing alongside their data.

Read our Apollo.io review for full plan and credit details, then follow our guide on how to use Apollo for prospecting. When you are ready, start with Apollo's free plan.

Who should choose Seamless.AI

  • Sellers in niche markets who want a real-time research approach and are willing to test whether it finds contacts other tools miss.
  • Reps who value the invalid-email refund and a simple Chrome extension workflow.
  • Teams already comfortable with annual contracts that can negotiate credits and renewal terms up front.

If you go this route, read the order form closely, note the cancellation window, and plan for warmup and calling tools outside Seamless.AI.

Rather not run it yourself?

The data tool is only one part of outbound: writing sequences, managing mailboxes and protecting deliverability take ongoing work. Koldify is a done-for-you cold email agency that runs campaigns on PlusVibe, Smartlead and Email Bison. If you would rather hand it off, book a 30-minute call with David at Koldify.

The verdict

Apollo wins this comparison for most buyers. You get a large, filterable database, native sequences, a built-in dialer and deliverability tools at a published price, with a free plan and monthly billing so you are never locked in.

Seamless.AI holds its own on data: its real-time research model, large claimed email count and refund promise are genuine strengths, and Connect is a capable add-on at no extra cost, but the trade-offs are unpublished pricing, annual contracts and the need for separate calling and warmup tools. If you are unsure, test Apollo free against Seamless.AI's free credits on the same target list. For more options, see our roundup of the best B2B data providers or our Apollo vs ZoomInfo comparison.

Frequently asked questions

Is Seamless.AI cheaper than Apollo?

It is hard to say, because Seamless.AI does not publish paid prices. Apollo's paid plans are reported at about $49 to $79 per user per month billed annually as of October 2026, while Seamless.AI's Pro and Enterprise plans require a sales conversation.

Is Seamless.AI data accurate?

Seamless.AI says on its FAQ page that its B2B contact data is 90% accurate on average and that invalid emails are refunded. Apollo says its verified emails are 91% accurate and refunds the credit if a verified email bounces within 30 days. Both are vendor claims, so test each on your own target list.

Does Seamless.AI have a free plan?

Yes. You can sign up free without a credit card, and Seamless.AI's FAQ page says new sign-ups get 50 free credits. Third-party research site Docket describes the free plan as 1,000 credits per user per year, so check the current allowance when you sign up.

Can you cancel Seamless.AI anytime?

Paid plans are typically annual contracts. Docket reported in 2026 that cancellation requires 60 days' notice before renewal and that users who miss the window report being auto-renewed for 12 months, so read the order form carefully.

Can Seamless.AI send emails?

Yes. Seamless Connect, which Seamless.AI says is included free with an account, runs campaigns with automated emails plus manual email, call, LinkedIn and task steps from connected Gmail or Outlook inboxes. Calling requires a separate Twilio subscription.

Which is better for agencies, Apollo or Seamless.AI?

Apollo is usually the better fit for agencies because pricing is published per seat, plans can be bought monthly, and data, sequences, a dialer and deliverability tools live in one workspace. Seamless.AI can work if you prefer its real-time research model and are comfortable with an annual contract.
