The best Mailshake alternatives in 2026 are Apollo for sales teams that want data, sequences and a dialer in one seat, Close for a CRM with built-in calling, Klenty for phone-heavy SDR teams, Reply.io and lemlist for multichannel sequences with calls, Smartlead and Instantly for high-volume cold email, and Salesloft or Outreach for large sales organizations. The right choice depends on whether your team mostly emails, mostly calls, or does both.
We checked every price and feature on each vendor's own site in October 2026. If a vendor does not publish pricing, we say so.

What Mailshake does well (and why sales teams look elsewhere)
Mailshake is popular because it is simple and built for salespeople. Its pricing page lists, as of October 2026:
- Starter: free, 1 email address.
- Email Outreach: $49 or $45 per month on annual billing, 2 email addresses.
- Sales Engagement: $99 or $85 per month on annual billing, 5 email addresses.
Billing is per user. Its homepage lists a dialer to "integrate cold calling into your outreach campaigns," social automation, an AI email writer, free warmup, a domain setup assistant, a list cleaning tool and integrations with Salesforce, HubSpot and Pipedrive.
Its help center says tasks (phone calls, LinkedIn messages and connection requests, social messages and general tasks) are on the Sales Engagement plan. Data Finder, for finding prospect emails, is a separate subscription from $49 to $249 per month billed annually.
Sales teams usually start looking at Mailshake alternatives for one of these reasons:
- They need a stronger dialer. Mailshake's help center does not describe its dialer's features in detail, and teams that call a lot often want power, parallel or predictive dialing.
- They want data in the same seat. Data Finder is a separate subscription.
- Per-user pricing gets expensive. Every rep needs a seat, and each plan includes a small number of email addresses.
- They have outgrown it, and want CRM sync, coaching, forecasting or AI agents.

1. Apollo: best all-in-one for sales teams
Best for: SDR and AE teams that want prospect data, multichannel sequences and calling in one tool.
Apollo replaces Mailshake plus a data tool plus, for many teams, a separate dialer. Its help center says sequences can mix automated emails, manual emails, dialer call steps, LinkedIn actions and action items. Reps find prospects in the database (Apollo says 240M+ contacts and 30M+ accounts), reveal emails and phone numbers, and add them to a sequence.
The built-in dialer records and logs calls, and Apollo's help center says US calls use credits per 30 seconds of connected time, with no credits used on unanswered or busy calls. Paid plans start at about $49 per user per month on annual billing for Basic and $79 for Professional, based on 2026 pricing reviews (Apollo's own page does not show dollar figures), and there is a free plan.
Weaknesses: international, parallel and power dialing need the Advanced Dialer add-on (reported at about $119 per team per month on annual billing), phone numbers cost 8 credits each to reveal, and credits do not roll over. Apollo is also not built to send tens of thousands of cold emails a month from its own sequencer. Our Apollo.io review covers all of this.
2. Close: best CRM with calling built in
Best for: small sales teams that want their CRM, dialer, SMS and email in one place.
Close is a CRM built for inside sales. As of October 2026, its pricing page lists Solo at $9 per user per month billed annually ($19 monthly), Essentials at $35 ($49 monthly), Growth at $99 ($109 monthly) and Scale at $139 ($149 monthly). Calling and SMS usage is billed at cost on top, which Close puts at about $0.02 per minute for most outbound calls, with numbers from about $1 per month.
The power dialer is on Growth and Scale, and the predictive dialer and live call coaching are on Scale. Close's automation page says outreach sequences with email, call and SMS steps are included on Growth and above, and every plan includes Chloe, its AI sales agent.
Weaknesses: it has no built-in prospect database, so you still need a data source, and the dialer and sequences only start at Growth.
3. Klenty: best for phone-heavy SDR teams
Best for: SDR teams that need serious dialing volume alongside email cadences.
Klenty says its parallel dialer lets reps "open 10+ conversations per hour," and its power dialer calls a whole list one after another. It lists native integrations with Salesforce, HubSpot, Pipedrive, Zoho and Microsoft Dynamics, plus AI account research and agentic cadences.
Klenty's comparison page says plans start from $50 per user per month, with $70 and $140 tiers above it, though a table on the same page shows different figures. Confirm current pricing with Klenty. It offers a 14-day free trial without a card.
Weaknesses: no built-in contact database on the pages we checked, and inconsistent pricing information on its own site.
4. Reply.io: best for multichannel with an AI SDR
Best for: sales teams that want email, LinkedIn, calls and SMS in one sequence, with an AI SDR option.
Reply.io lists Email Volume from $49 per user per month billed annually ($59 monthly) and Multichannel from $89 ($99 monthly), as of October 2026. Calls and SMS are a $29 per account add-on, and LinkedIn automation is $69 per account. Reply.io says it has 1B+ verified contacts built in, with 50 live data credits per month on its plans.
Its Jason AI SDR starts at $500 per month and, according to Reply.io, runs sequences across email, LinkedIn and phone, handles replies and books meetings. Read our full Reply.io alternatives guide if you are comparing it with others.
Weaknesses: the add-ons push per-rep cost well past the base seat price.
5. lemlist: best for small teams mixing email, LinkedIn and calls
Best for: small sales teams that want an approachable builder with LinkedIn and calling.
lemlist lists an Email plan at $69 per month ($55 yearly) and a Multichannel plan at $109 per month ($87 yearly). Multichannel adds LinkedIn and calls, and its pricing page lists a built-in call dialer, power dialer, in-app calling and VoIP integrations, with SMS and WhatsApp as add-ons.
It also includes AI agents for signals, enrichment and messaging. For a Mailshake user who wants the same simplicity with more channels, it is a natural next step.
Weaknesses: lead data and intent signals are paid add-ons, and the pricing page is unclear on exactly how users are counted.
6. Smartlead: best for high-volume email with call steps
Best for: outbound teams and agencies that send far more email than Mailshake's per-seat plans allow and want calls in the same sequence.
Smartlead is priced by volume, not seats, with unlimited email accounts on every plan. As of October 2026 its pricing page lists Base at $39 per month (6,000 emails), Pro at $94 (90,000), Unlimited Smart at $174 (150,000) and Unlimited Prime at $379 (500,000).
SmartDialer, added in 2026, puts calling inside the Smartlead sequence next to email. Smartlead says calls are recorded and transcribed by default and auto-dialing works through a list one call after another. Numbers are US local numbers from $1 per month, and SmartDialer credits start at $9 per month.
Weaknesses: it is not a sales CRM, LinkedIn needs a third-party integration, and the dialer is new and US-focused. See our Smartlead review.
7. Instantly: best for high-volume email plus a CRM
Best for: teams that want cheap sending at volume and a simple CRM for calls and SMS on the side.
Instantly charges per workspace with unlimited sending accounts. Outreach plans are Growth at $47 per month ($37.60 annual, 5,000 emails), Hypergrowth at $97 ($77.60 annual, 125,000 emails) and Light Speed at $358 ($286.30 annual, 500,000 emails), as of October 2026.
Its CRM help article says the CRM handles email, calls, SMS, tasks and LinkedIn connections, with unlimited seats for a flat $97 per month. Instantly also sells lead data through credits and offers AI agents for replies and prospecting.
Weaknesses: campaign sequences are email only, so calls sit in the CRM rather than in sequence steps, and CRM and data are separate subscriptions. Read our Instantly review.
8. Salesloft: best for enterprise sales teams
Best for: larger sales organizations that want cadences, a dialer and conversation intelligence on one platform.
Salesloft describes cadences with multi-touch steps including calls and emails, a sales dialer that captures call details automatically, and AI account agents that research accounts, identify buyers and draft emails. It also sells conversation intelligence.
Pricing is not published. Its pricing page asks you to talk to sales.
Weaknesses: no public price, a longer rollout than Mailshake, and features most small teams will not use.
9. Outreach: best for large, process-heavy sales orgs
Best for: enterprise teams that need engagement, forecasting, deal management and coaching together.
Outreach describes sequences that can include several stakeholders, an integrated click-to-call dialer, AI Revenue Agents that handle sequencing, and engagement data synced across email, LinkedIn, SMS and calls with your CRM.
Pricing is not published. You request a quote.
Weaknesses: like Salesloft, it is far more platform than most Mailshake users need.
How to choose
| Your team | Best fit |
|---|---|
| 2 to 20 reps, need data, email and calling | Apollo |
| Want CRM, dialer and SMS in one tool | Close |
| Reps call more than they email | Klenty, or Close Scale for predictive dialing |
| Want LinkedIn, calls and an AI SDR | Reply.io or lemlist |
| Send high-volume cold email | Smartlead or Instantly |
| 50+ reps with RevOps support | Salesloft or Outreach |
A common setup for small sales teams is Apollo for data, calling and warm sequences, plus a volume sender like Smartlead or PlusVibe for cold email on separate domains. That keeps your main domain safe and your per-seat costs low. Use our cold email cost calculator to compare what each setup costs at your volume.
If you are weighing simpler, agency-friendly senders too, see our Woodpecker alternatives guide.
Rather not run it yourself?
If your reps would rather spend their time on calls than on mailboxes and copy, Koldify runs done-for-you cold email campaigns on PlusVibe, Smartlead and Email Bison. Book a 30-minute call with David at Koldify, or read cold email agency vs DIY first.
Verdict
Mailshake is still a fine choice for a small team that wants simple email with some calling. If you want data, sequences and a dialer in one seat, Apollo is the best fit for most sales teams.
If you want a CRM with real dialing, choose Close, and if your reps live on the phone, look at Klenty. If you mainly need to send more email for less, Smartlead or Instantly will cost less per email than per-seat tools.

Frequently asked questions
What is the best alternative to Mailshake for sales teams?
For most small and mid-size sales teams, Apollo is the strongest Mailshake alternative because it combines a B2B contact database, sequences with email, calls and LinkedIn tasks, and a built-in dialer in one seat. Close is a strong pick if you want a CRM with calling built in, and Klenty if your reps live on the phone.
How much does Mailshake cost in 2026?
As of October 2026, Mailshake's pricing page lists a free Starter plan, Email Outreach at $49 or $45 per month billed annually, and Sales Engagement at $99 or $85 per month billed annually, billed per user. Its Data Finder is a separate subscription from $49 per month billed annually.
Which Mailshake alternative has the best dialer?
Close includes a power dialer on its Growth plan and a predictive dialer on Scale, and Klenty offers both parallel and power dialers. Apollo includes a dialer with call recording, with parallel and power dialing in its Advanced Dialer add-on according to 2026 pricing reviews.
Does Mailshake have a phone dialer?
Yes. Mailshake lists a dialer that integrates cold calling into campaigns, and its help center says phone call tasks appear in your tasks and dialer. Tasks, including phone and LinkedIn tasks, are on the Sales Engagement plan.
Is there a cheaper Mailshake alternative for cold email only?
If you only send email, Smartlead starts at $39 per month and Instantly at $47 per month as of October 2026, both with unlimited sending accounts and no per-user pricing. At volume they usually cost less than per-seat tools.
Is Salesloft or Outreach a good Mailshake alternative?
They are enterprise sales engagement platforms with cadences, dialers, conversation intelligence and AI agents, so they suit larger sales organizations. Neither publishes pricing, and both are more complex to run than Mailshake.
