The best lemlist alternative depends on what you want to change. If you want more email volume for less money, pick Instantly or Smartlead. If you want to keep LinkedIn and email in the same sequence, look at La Growth Machine or Reply.io, and if you want a big contact database with sequences built in, look at Apollo.

First, what lemlist does well

lemlist is a strong product, and many teams should stay on it. Before you switch, be sure you are leaving for a real reason. Here is what it does well, based on its own site and help center.

  • True multichannel. lemlist says you can "reach leads via email, LinkedIn, calls, WhatsApp, and SMS" from one place. Its Multichannel plan includes LinkedIn automation, SMS automation, a built-in dialer and a WhatsApp add-on.
  • Personalized images. lemlist's image editor lets you place variables like {{firstName}} or {{companyName}} on a custom image inside an email step. Few email-first tools offer this natively.
  • lemwarm included. lemlist's FAQ says "lemwarm and built-in deliverability protections are included in all plans." Its help center says lemwarm Essential is included with the Email, Multichannel and Enterprise plans.
  • A lead database. lemlist lists a 650M+ lead database (its features section says 600M+) plus an email and phone finder.
  • A reasonable email-only price. The Email plan is $69 a month, or $55 billed yearly, with 50,000 emails a month and unlimited users and senders listed on the plan card.

So why leave? The Multichannel plan is $109 per user per month ($87 yearly) with five senders per user, which adds up fast if you send from dozens of inboxes.

The Email plan card shows one volume of 50,000 emails a month, and lemlist's help center says Email plan cost scales with sending volume, so check the price above that. If you do not use LinkedIn, SMS or calls, an email-first tool can cost less per email.

If you are weighing one specific swap, read our head-to-head guides: Instantly vs lemlist and Smartlead vs lemlist.

1. Instantly: best for simple high-volume email

Best for: founders, SDR teams and agencies who want unlimited mailboxes and an easy setup.

Instantly is an email-first platform priced per workspace, not per seat. Every Outreach plan includes unlimited email accounts and unlimited warmup, according to its pricing page. It has grown into a suite with a lead database (SuperSearch), a CRM, AI agents and inbox placement testing, each sold as a separate subscription.

Outreach plan Monthly Annual (per month) Emails/month Uploaded contacts
Growth $47 $37.60 5,000 1,000
Hypergrowth $97 $77.60 125,000 25,000
Light Speed $358 $286.30 500,000 100,000

Where it beats lemlist: cost at volume and mailbox count. Hypergrowth covers 125,000 emails a month for $97, with no per-seat fee.

Where lemlist wins: Instantly has no native LinkedIn, WhatsApp or SMS steps in its sequences. Its lead data runs on separately billed credits, and on the Growth plan you cannot reply from the Unibox, invite teammates or use subsequences (those need Hypergrowth). The uploaded contacts limit is a fixed total that does not reset each month, per Instantly's help center.

2. Smartlead: best for agencies with many clients

Best for: lead gen agencies and teams that manage many client accounts in one login.

Smartlead's pricing page says "all Smartlead plans include unlimited email accounts at no extra cost." Its strength is agency structure: client workspaces with white label cost $29 each per month from the Pro plan up, and Unlimited Prime includes three.

Plan Monthly Annual (per month) Emails/month Contacts
Base $39 $32.50 6,000 2,000
Pro $94 $78.30 90,000 30,000
Unlimited Smart $174 $144.50 150,000 Unlimited
Unlimited Prime $379 $314.60 500,000 Unlimited

Where it beats lemlist: volume per dollar, unlimited contact storage from $174, and per-client workspaces. Smartlead also added calling inside sequences in 2026 through SmartDialer.

Where lemlist wins: Smartlead has no native LinkedIn sending; it connects to tools like HeyReach and Aimfox instead. G2 reviewers often mention a learning curve, and Smartlead's Fair Use Policy still lists mailbox caps under older plan names, so get your limit confirmed if you plan to connect hundreds of inboxes. Base has no API or CRM access.

3. PlusVibe: best for low cost per email at mid volume

Best for: teams that already have a data source and want the most sending for the money between about 25,000 and 150,000 emails a month.

PlusVibe (formerly pipl.ai) is an email-only platform focused on deliverability. Its Business plan covers 150,000 emails and 100,000 active leads for $77 a month, which is less than most tools on this list at that volume.

Plan Monthly Annual (per month) Emails/month Active leads
Personal $37 $30.80 25,000 30,000
Business $77 $64.20 150,000 100,000
Agency From $497 From $415 500,000+ 1,000,000+

Where it beats lemlist: price at mid volume, and the Business plan includes API access.

Where lemlist wins: PlusVibe has no searchable lead database and no LinkedIn, SMS or call steps. Placement testing is a separate paid add-on ($19 to $89 a month), not built in. Its pricing page also does not state a mailbox cap or promise unlimited accounts, so confirm your limit in writing if you plan to connect many inboxes.

4. Apollo: best for data and sequences in one tool

Best for: sales teams that want a large B2B database and built-in sequences in one workspace.

Apollo combines a database of 240M+ contacts and 30M+ accounts (its own figures) with email sequences, a dialer and LinkedIn tasks. Its pricing page lists Free, Basic, Professional and Custom plans. Third-party pricing reviews report paid plans from about $49 per user per month billed annually, as of October 2026.

Where it compares to lemlist: both are priced per user and both pair data with outreach. Apollo's database is its core product, and sequences can mix automatic emails, calls and LinkedIn tasks. Apollo's help center suggests up to 15 mailboxes per user depending on plan, with a recommended 50 to 100 emails per day per mailbox.

Where lemlist wins: lemlist automates LinkedIn actions and offers SMS and WhatsApp. Apollo treats LinkedIn as tasks and is not built for sending from dozens of inboxes per rep.

Many teams pair the two jobs: Apollo for lists, and a volume sender like Smartlead or Instantly for campaigns. Read our Apollo.io review, or create a free Apollo account.

5. Reply.io: best for multichannel teams and an AI SDR

Best for: teams that want email, LinkedIn, calls and SMS in one sequence, or an AI SDR.

Reply.io is the closest like-for-like swap for lemlist's multichannel setup. Its Multichannel plan is $99 per user monthly or $89 billed annually, with unlimited active contacts and 10 mailboxes on annual billing (5 on monthly). LinkedIn and Calls & SMS are listed as paid extras.

Its Email Volume plans are priced by active contacts, from $59 a month for 1,000 contacts ($49 annual) up to $999 for 100,000 ($899 annual). Mailboxes are unlimited under a fair usage policy.

LinkedIn is a $69 per account add-on and Calls & SMS a $29 add-on. Reply.io also sells an AI SDR called Jason, from $800 a month ($500 annual).

Watch out for: the pricing page shows some inconsistent figures (the Agency plan appears at both $166 and $210), so confirm your quote.

6. La Growth Machine: best for LinkedIn-first outreach

Best for: founders and sales teams whose prospects live on LinkedIn.

La Growth Machine builds sequences around LinkedIn and email, with calls on Pro and X (Twitter) on Ultimate. Pricing is per "identity" (a sender profile) and listed in euros: Basic is €60 a month and Pro is €120, with a 14-day free trial.

Basic allows one sending email per identity and up to three identities. Pro allows five rotating inboxes per identity, and Ultimate allows ten. Each plan includes free enriched leads each month (250, 400 or 1,000).

Watch out for: it is not built for high-volume cold email. The pricing page also shows Pro and Ultimate both at €120 and mentions "$110/month (billed annually)" elsewhere, so confirm the price you will pay.

7. Woodpecker: best if you want to pay per contacted prospect

Best for: small teams and agencies that send to a modest number of new prospects each month.

Woodpecker uses a configurator instead of fixed plans. You pay $7 per 100 contacted prospects per month, with unlimited email accounts and unlimited team members included. Annual billing saves 25% according to one label on the page (another badge says 33%).

Add-ons are priced separately: LinkedIn outreach at $29 per account, an Agency Panel at $27 per active client, white label at $5 per client and integrations or API at $20 a month. Four warmups are included, and more cost $5 per account. The free trial runs 14 days or 100 cold emails, whichever comes first.

Watch out for: add-ons can push the total well above the headline rate, so price your full setup in the configurator.

8. Saleshandy: best budget email tool with a lead finder

Best for: solo founders and small teams on a tight budget.

Saleshandy says all plans include unlimited email accounts and warmup. Starter is $41 a month ($34 annual) for 2,000 active prospects, 6,000 emails and 1,500 lead finder credits. Pro is $99 a month ($76 annual) for 30,000 prospects, 100,000 emails and 10 users.

Watch out for: there is no native LinkedIn, and white label is only on the custom-priced Enterprise plan. The pricing page does not list volume limits for its Scale plan.

9. Email Bison: best for high-volume senders who want isolated IPs

Best for: agencies and outbound teams sending around 500,000 emails a month.

Email Bison has one published Base plan at $599 a month for 500,000 emails, with unlimited leads, unlimited workspaces and teammates, and isolated infrastructure with dedicated IPs. Koldify sends some of its campaigns on Email Bison.

Watch out for: it only makes sense at high volume, has no lead database and no LinkedIn steps, and the price of extra sending buckets beyond 500,000 is not published.

How to choose the right lemlist alternative

Start with the reason you are leaving, then match it to a tool.

If your main reason is... Pick
Cost at high email volume Instantly or Smartlead
Running many client accounts Smartlead
Cheapest sending at 25,000 to 150,000 emails PlusVibe
Finding leads and sequencing in one place Apollo
Keeping LinkedIn, calls and SMS together Reply.io or La Growth Machine
Paying only for prospects you contact Woodpecker
Isolated infrastructure at 500,000 emails Email Bison

A few checks apply to every option:

  1. Price your real volume. Work out emails per month, inboxes and seats, then compare at that size. Our cold email cost calculator helps.
  2. Separate data from sending. Many teams get better results with one data source and one sending tool than with one tool that does both halfway.
  3. Do not skip infrastructure. Domains, authentication and warmup matter more than the platform you pick.
  4. Plan the migration. Export leads as CSV, rebuild sequences, and warm new mailboxes for a few weeks before you send at full volume.

Rather not run it yourself?

Switching tools means new domains, new warmup and rebuilt sequences. If you would rather hand that off, you can book a 30-minute call with David at Koldify, the done-for-you cold email agency where he is a partner.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best alternative to lemlist?

It depends on why you are leaving. For high-volume email across many inboxes, Instantly and Smartlead are the most common picks. If you want to keep LinkedIn and email in one sequence, La Growth Machine and Reply.io are closer matches, and Apollo fits teams that want data and sequences together.

Is there a cheaper alternative to lemlist?

Yes, for email-only sending. As of October 2026, Smartlead starts at $39 a month, PlusVibe at $37, Saleshandy at $41 and Instantly at $47, and none of them charge per mailbox. lemlist's Email plan starts at $69 a month, though it includes a lead database and warmup.

Which lemlist alternative has LinkedIn automation?

La Growth Machine is built around LinkedIn plus email, and Reply.io offers LinkedIn on its Multichannel plan or as a paid add-on. Woodpecker sells a LinkedIn add-on per account. Instantly, Smartlead and PlusVibe do not run native LinkedIn steps inside sequences.

Does any lemlist alternative include warmup for free?

Instantly includes unlimited warmup on every Outreach plan, and Smartlead includes warmup with tiered pools on its plans. Saleshandy says all its plans include warmup. Woodpecker includes 4 warmups and charges $5 per extra account per month.

Why do people switch from lemlist?

The most common reasons are cost and volume. lemlist's Multichannel plan is priced per user with five senders each, so teams sending from dozens of inboxes can pay more than they would on a tool priced by volume. Teams that do not need LinkedIn, SMS or calls often move to an email-first platform.

Can I move my campaigns from lemlist to another tool?

You can export your leads from lemlist as a CSV and import them into most alternatives, but sequences, templates and warmup history do not transfer. Plan to rebuild sequences by hand and give newly connected mailboxes time to warm up before full volume.
